A 2.5 hour version of the above course can be provided to groups of managers and supervisors to educate them on how to bring about a workplace culture which is free from discriminatory actions and undesirable behaviour in general, and harassment and bullying in particular. It looks at which types of harassment are most prevalent at the moment, and examines the process managers and supervisors must follow in dealing with a complaint of harassment or irresponsible behaviour in their workplace, and how they can work to ultimately prevent harassment from occurring.
This part of the course is similar to the course we give to general employees, but emphasises the legal concepts that are involved in managing employee behaviour. Risk management is the focus. Issues such as what to do when a manager hears a rumour but has no complaint and what to do about malicious or frivolous complaints.
